As the overall situation of the epidemic containment in China has been improved，Music Guangzhou 2020 was the first music show in 2020 in China, even in the world. With an exhibition area of 30,000 sqm, 21,011 visitors were attracted to participate, and 340 exhibitors, who have been engaging in industrial segments on piano and keyboards, stringed instruments, wind, traditional Chinese instruments, electric and electronic instruments, percussion, music education and training and so forth, presented a variety of new products, superior products, and fantastic live shows.
It is found that exhibitors made high comments on Music Guangzhou 2020, because it not only bridged an overall platform with display and exchange, but also provided them with brand-new experiences and well-qualified services more than what they expected. Moreover, new musical instruments integrated with traditional and creative elements were displayed on the show, and advanced products reformed by new technology helped bring about new ideas in music industry. Furthermore, Yangzhou Zither Pavilion made a stage pose, the charm of music cheered up the show and provided visitors with better participatory experiences.
During the 4-day exhibition, 23 forums and activities were conducted, touching on numerous domains and contents. A considerable number of professors and experts were attracted by events such as The 5th Summit of Chinese Piano Companies and The 5th Summit Forum for China’s Guitar Industry, explaining the operation methods, management experiences and education mode. In addition, visitors could enjoy wonderful live performances such as music concert by prof. Dengmin YE from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and Zither Speech and Concert by prof. Jinhai Jiao from Counselor of Zither Association of China Musician Association. The popular singer Xiaowei Wang shared her experiences and ideas in music education, which pumped up visitors there.
Music Guangzhou finds dealers important to bridge between market and manufacturers. Therefore, the organizer vigorously invited a numbers of significant dealers to join Vip Dealer Program by a series of services and presents, with the purpose of cooperation between dealers and exhibitors.
In 2020, the Music Guangzhou took the first step to combine online and offline show through both physically gathering visitors from different cities together and virtually providing a platform for those audiences who could not join the onsite tradeshow due to multiple reasons. 20 online programs were launched during the exhibition, including interviews, online shows and activities, to which more than 7,000 audiences attracted. Furthermore, the organizer invited professors to join live streaming and share unique experience, new ideas and talent training methods. Exhibitors also participated in the online show by displaying and selling their products on the online platform in pursuit of making deals, increasing activity and strengthening interaction with the audiences.
